POLICIES & PROCEDURES


ARRIVAL:
Please call us on our local number (693-9100) from the St. Thomas airport after you have collected your luggage.  This is to let us know that you have arrived on time and when to expect your arrival at the property.


AIRLINE SERVICE:
Direct to St. Thomas or via San Juan, Puerto Rico, by American, Delta, Continental, Spirit Air or US Airways.  Important: remember to bring proof of citizenship (either passport or birth certificate and valid photo ID) for departing through US Customs.

TAXI TO/FROM THE AIRPORT: There are plenty of taxis available at the airport. and at the ferry terminals  Taxi fare is approximately $12.00 per person to/from Red Hook (40 minute ride) and $8 to/from Charlotte Amalie (15 minute ride). They charge an additional per bag fee for luggage.

FERRY SCHEDULE:
Red Hook, St. Thomas to Cruz Bay, St. John: the ferry departs on the hour, every hour from 6 am to midnight, everyday of the week, including Sundays and holidays.  The cost is $7.00 per person plus $3/bag and it is a 20-minute ride. ).  The Charlotte Amalie ferry from downtown St. Thomas to Cruz Bay leaves at 1:00, 3:00, 4:00, and 5:30pm. This costs $14 and is a 40-minute ride to St. John.
 
RESERVATIONS: A deposit of 50% of the Grand Total for the rental is required to secure reservations for 4 nights or more.  For 3 nights or less, a separate cleaning fee of $75.00 per bedroom is charged in addition to the room charge and payment in full is due when booking.

Forms of Payment: We accept Visa, MasterCard, traveler�s checks, personal checks or cash for payment.  Checks should be made out to Coconut Coast Villas Condominium Association.  Please let us know your time of arrival in St. Thomas, airline, flight number and dates you will be staying with us.


CONFIRMATION:
We will confirm your reservation in writing upon receiving your deposit.

BALANCE: Your balance must be paid in full 30 days prior to your arrival with Visa, MasterCard, or personal check.  If you wish to pay your balance by personal check, please make paid to the order of Coconut Coast Villas Condominium Association.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If your reservation has been confirmed with a deposit and you are unable to fulfill your obligation to occupy the rental unit, Villa Portfolio must be notified in writing.  All attempts will be made to re-rent the unit.  If we are unable to re-rent the unit, no money will be refunded.  If the unit is rented, the entire amount received less 10% of the Grand Total amount will be refunded.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:  Coconut Coast Villas does not issue refunds due unforseen emergencies or natural disasters.  We strongly suggest purchasing Travel Insurance, especially when traveling during Hurricane Season (August through October). One such provider is  www.tripinsure.com (800) 873-9855 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting            (800) 873-9855      end_of_the_skype_highlighting


 

HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE: The units are cleaned for your arrival and following your departure.  Daily service is not provided.  Additional service can be arranged at $75 per bedroom cleaning fee.  Please call our office to make arrangements once you are on island.

BREAKAGE: in the event of damage to the unit or its contents, we reserve the right to charge you a damage fee to recover our expenses.

TRAVEL TO THE BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS: Important: remember to bring your passport for British Customs when arriving in the BVI and for proof of citizenship when returning through US Customs on St. John.
