Coconut Coast Villas General Information

Arrival: Please call us on our local number (693-9100) from the St. Thomas airport after you have collected your luggage.  This is to let us know that you have arrived on time and when to expect your arrival at the property.

Airline Service: Direct to St. Thomas or via San Juan, Puerto Rico, by American, Delta, Continental, or US Airways. For great deals in airfare contact CVOA, (877) 248-2862, mention Coconut Coast Villas to receive the lowest fare available. Important: remember to bring proof of citizenship (either passport or birth certificate and valid photo ID) for departing through US Customs.

Taxi from the airport: There are plenty of taxis available at the airport.  Taxi fare is approximately $12.00 per person to Red Hook (40 minute ride) and $8 to Charlotte Amalie (15 minute ride). They charge additional fee for luggage.

Ferry Schedule: Red Hook, St. Thomas to Cruz Bay, St. John: the ferry departs on the hour, every hour from 6 am to midnight, everyday of the week, including Sundays and holidays.  The cost is $5.00 per person plus $ 2/bag and it is a 20-minute ride. ).  The Charlotte Amalie ferry from downtown St. Thomas to Cruz Bay leaves at 1:00, 3:00, 4:00, and 5:30pm. This costs $10 and is a 40-minute ride to St. John.

Car Rental: Having your own transportation will truly enhance your vacation experience by providing easy access to shopping, destination dining spots, and the National Park’s beaches and trails.  Advance reservations are strongly suggested.

Reservations: A deposit of 50% of the Grand Total for the rental is required to secure reservations for 4 days or more.  For 3 days or less, payment in full is due at time of booking. We accept Visa, MasterCard, traveler’s checks, personal checks or cash for payment.  Checks should be made out to Villa Portfolio.  Please let us know your time of arrival in St. Thomas, airline, flight number and dates you will be staying with us.

Confirmation: Villa Portfolio will confirm your reservation upon receiving your deposit.

Balance: Your balance is to be paid in full 30 days prior to your arrival with Visa, MasterCard, or personal check.  If you wish to pay your balance by personal check, please make paid to the order of Villa Portfolio.

Cancellation Policy: If your reservation has been confirmed with a deposit and you are unable to fulfill your obligation to occupy the rental unit, Villa Portfolio must be notified in writing.  All attempts will be made to re-rent the unit.  If we are unable to re-rent the unit, no money will be refunded.  If the unit is rented, the entire amount received less 10% of the Grand Total amount will be refunded.

Water Sports: We would be glad to recommend professional companies for all sorts of water sports - scuba diving, windsurfing, sport fishing, kayaking, and all types of boat trips.  An information book and brochures will be in your room with details on these activities.

Maid Service: The units are cleaned for your arrival and following your departure.  Daily maid service is not provided.  Additional maid service can be arranged at $30 per cleaning.  Please call our office to make arrangements once you are on island.

Travel Insurance:  Coconut Coast Villas does not issue refunds due to natural disasters such as hurricanes.  We suggest purchasing Travel Insurance, especially when traveling during Hurricane Season (August through October).

Although renting a car is not a necessity while staying at CoconutCoast Villas, we do believe that having your own transportation may enhance your vacation experience. Renting a car or jeep will provide easy access to some of the more remote areas of St. John, along with shopping, dining out, and the National Park’s beaches and trails.  Below are some of our recommendations.
